I love a book with a lot of layers, and The Deadly Houses by Charlie Gallagher probably fulfills that more than any other one I’ve read recently. I just finished this one, and honestly, I think I’m still processing it.
I thought I would break up the monotony just a bit by going into how I find all these books to read. Well, first of all, I’ve been collecting books on my Kindle for years, so my “to be read” pile of ebooks is already quite extensive. And as I think I’ve mentioned, I’ve been using NetGalley for books quite a bit lately. But another source of inspiration for my reading pile is #bookstagram.
I still can’t really believe that I’m reading as many books lately as I am, but when you’re trying to just stay home, and social media is getting kind of annoying, and the news is not that great lately in the world… you turn to ways of escape, and books are a great escape from reality.
Life is a series of experiences. Some of mine include walking along the Great Wall of China, drinking craft beer in Belgium, playing poker in Vegas, reading novels at home, or just relaxing with my husband and lovable dog. This website is your invitation to join me as I take on the planet one experience at a time and blog about it for your enjoyment!
