I blame gRegor for this. Today is the first day of November, and thus the beginning of NaBloPoMo. You might be asking… WTF is that? Well, you may or may not have heard of something called NaNoWriMo, which is short for National Novel Writing Month. It’s been around for a while, and basically what it is is that every November, a lot of people try to write a novel. Those that participate in NaNoWriMo try to write 50,000 words (essentially a novel) by the time November ends. No editing, just writing. Any editing can come after November. The goal of NaNoWriMo is just to get those words out there on paper (or on a computer screen). But there are those of us that just aren’t into writing novels. So someone decided to come up with the idea for NaBloPoMo… National Blog Posting Month. Also in November alongside NaNoWriMo, NaBloPoMo is a little easier for those of us that are more bloggers than novelists. I think I’ve actually tried NaBloPoMo before but never succeeding in finishing out through the entire month. My friend gRegor has done it twice now successfully and decided at the last minute to do it again this year. And, since he mentioned it and I have been thinking about trying to blog more anyway, here I go. I’ve signed up on the official website, and I should be in the list soon. So… join me, encourage me, place bets on how long I last… but if nothing else, read and comment. I’ll need some support to make it through this whole month!
Welcome aboard!
